WHO I AM ?

First of all it’s great to have you here, welcome! I’m Mick, a progressive self-taught designer and developer based in Dublin, Ireland. I do clean websites and applications, classic print design, branding and development for passionate clients.

I love solving complex problems in creative, unconventional and experimental ways. I also love learning new things every day and working with people who are passionate about what they do. I’m a minimal designer and I like the simple & elegant style, I’m interested in clean aesthetics, minimalism, photography and simplistic UX solutions.

Design.
I design and develop intuitive, fresh and high-performing user-centred solutions using the latest technologies and design trends, tailored to the client’s unique vision.

Knowledgable.
I always keep an open mind and absorb as much information and perspective as I can as there’s always more to understand. I stay aware of the latest trends and improvements that emerge from the field of web design, as well as other things.

Adaptability.
Some projects demand work on already existing projects where integration and adaptability are required. I know how to integrate new things in an existing project while keeping the originality of the project in mind and under consideration.

I'm always looking to learn new things, to grow and to better myself. I'm willing to take on challenges for which I may not feel quite ready and learn while doing.

MY PROCESS

Briefing (Free).
Send me a detailed briefing including the following information: Who you are, core values, objectives/goals, required features, timeframe and deadline, examples of designs you like and everything else you think might be important.

Evaluation (Free).
I honestly care about the work i do and the people I work for and with and this is where I'll be sussing out your project. I'll be thinking first if it is something that is compatible with me and my time and life constraints. Then if it's something that I believe I can manifest into reality and/or provide a solution for with my skills.

Brainstorming.
The start of the construction. This is where we'll open our minds and bounce ideas back and forth, seeing what your image is, what's possible and what problems or obstacles we might face. I'll be keeping my mind on design and function while listening in detail and building up a blueprint in my mind.

Design.
This is where the magic happens. After the brainstorming sessions I'll explore and analyse the problems the user might face and formulate concrete solutions to your users needs. I'll then cleanly design the graphical interface guided by my user research and your unique vision. I'll be rapidly building prototypes and sending them forward for approval.

Development.
When the design is approved I'll begin writing the code for the application. I'll be writing clean and search engine friendly HTML5 and CSS3 and then implementing more complex features with Javascript and PHP. I'll be keeping my mind on making the application smooth and fast.

Launch.
After the website is developed and approved by you I'll put it through various speed and SEO tests and then when we're both happy with it I'll setup the hosting and your domain name and then boom your new website is live and ready to be marketed.
